Face scrubs. Do you need them?

Updated: Mar 14, 2020

Face scrubs are all over, but how do you know which one to use. Well, that depends on your skin type. If you have acne prone skin, you may want a scrub containing salicylic acid (SA) which has a drying effect. However, if you have dry skin you will want to avoid SA. Combination skin may want to have a scrub with and without SA depending on the season.

Benefits of scrubs:

-Exfoliate away dead skin cells

-Make skin softer (Who doesn't want that!)

-Help unclog pores

Ingredients you want to avoid in face scrubs:

-Sugar as it may clog pores (These are fine in body scrubs)

-Walnut Shell Powder (Only if you have a nut allergy....this is personally my favorite for face scrubs)

It is best to exfoliate with a face scrub 2-3 times per week. Exfoliating every day may irritate your skin and can cause breakouts. No matter what your skin type, it is always advised to apply a moisturizer following using a scrub and washing your face. Here at Natana Naturals we are big fans of, "The Fountain of Youth-Aging Defense Serum" which is good for all ages (With the exception of children) and all skin types. The sooner you begin taking care of your skin, the better. Have your skin glow like your spirit.
